A YouTube channel that aims to provide parents with educational videos focused on the connection between the heart, the brain and neurodevelopment with the goal of supporting parents to advocate for their heart warriors.
Congenital heart disease is the number one birth defect with 1 in 100 babies affected. Medical advances have tremendously improved medical outcomes with over 90% of children living into adulthood. As these children are growing, we are seeing that these children often have higher rates of developmental, behavioral and psychosocial difficulties. This channel was developed by a neuropsychologist and cardiologist at the University of Calgary, with support from parents and HeartBeats.ca.
