Uncovering the Heart of the Matter

February is Heart Month—a time to honour the experiences of children and families battling heart disease in BC, and the work of the cardiac team at BC Children’s Hospital to provide them with the best possible care.

Today, one in every 100 babies in our province is born with a congenital heart defect. Many of these families must navigate the ongoing stress of potential health complications and uncertainty that comes with this type of diagnosis.

The world-class team at BC Children’s Hospital is determined to transform care for these children and their families by pushing the boundaries of what is possible in cardiac care.

Join the next edition of The Pulse, a BCCH webinar series, as Dr. Shubhayan Sanatani, head of cardiology at BC Children’s Hospital, shares more about how the team is advancing groundbreaking research and bringing new hope to kids battling childhood heart disease.
