November 29 is Giving Tuesday!
This new-to-Canada movement, designed for giving and volunteering, takes place each year after Cyber Monday. The opening day of the giving season is a day where charities, companies, and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes, and think about others.
We would like to invite you to join us in continuing to provide resources and support for families of children born with congenital heart disease by donating to the Children’s Heart Network! We are so excited to be getting back to in-person events and workshops after things being online for two years.
Here are some of the programs your donation will support:
- Resource parent training workshops
- CPR training for parents and caregivers
- Transition workshops for preparing heart teens moving into adult care
- Family camps (Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island)
- Educations sessions for heart parents (e.g., “Finding Resources to Support Child, Youth, and Family Mental Health”)

This year PayPal will match 1% of donations made to any registered charity through CanadaHelps when using a PayPal account. That means now is the time to really make a difference by contributing on #GivingTuesday, November 29, 2022.
Every year another 500 families in BC will receive the news that their child has congenital heart disease. As we all know, care and worry don’t end once our children leave the hospital. The Children’s Heart Network provides outreach, support, and education to help children thrive, not just survive.
