Ross Sinclair Corder
November 18, 1989 – April 21, 1996
The birth of our fourth child, Ross, was a time of celebration. Little did we know that six weeks later he would be diagnosed with complex congenital heart disease. For our family a new journey had begun that would include many days, weeks and sometimes months in the hospital as Ross underwent multiple procedures and surgeries.
Ross’ life was much more than his heart disease; it was full of joy and hope. We kept our focus on all that he could do and worked hard to ensure that our family stayed together and strong. With three older siblings, Ross was a typical baby. His delightful sense of humour kept us laughing even in the darker days. Through his journey, he developed wisdom far beyond that of a six year old and his compassion for others was a testimony to his gentle spirit.
Ross taught us about what was important in life; family, friends and faith. Having Ross in our lives has ever changed us. Our peace comes from knowing that he is perfectly healed and that we will be together again one day.
