February 7–14 is Congenital Heart Disease Awareness Week!
Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the world’s leading birth defect. About 1 in 100 Canadian children are born with CHD, and there are an estimated 257,000 Canadians with CHDs, two thirds of which are adults.
Congenital Heart Disease Awareness Week provides an opportunity for each of us to raise awareness for patients and families affected by CHDs.
Spread the word! Encourage others to get involved with the Children’s Heart Network through membership, donations, volunteering, and more.
