Children’s Heart Network Social Media Policy

Children’s Heart Network (CHN) is committed to using social media in a way that educates, supports, and enhances the lives of children, youth, and families living with congenital heart disease. This policy explains how CHN uses social media.

Social media refers to on-line technologies and practices that are used to share information, build relationships, and opinions. It can involve a variety of formats, including text, photos, video, audio, and real-time dialogues. It includes, but is not limited to, such things as social networks and blogs.

Links to other external websites

Our social media accounts may post or display links for web sites not under the control of CHN. These links are provided solely for the convenience of users. Although we are diligent in partnering only with reputable organizations, we are not responsible for the information found through these links.

We do not endorse the web sites (sites) or their content in any manner whatsoever or accept any responsibility for the content or other material that may be contained on such sites, the use of such sites, or any products or services advertised on or sold through any such sites. Under no circumstances will we be liable for any damages whatsoever, direct, or indirect, resulting from any use of CHN’s site or any other third-party site linked to our site, regardless of whether we are advised of the possibility of such damages.

As our social media policy does not apply to the links within this site linking to other sites, we encourage you to read the privacy statements on the other sites you may visit.

Following, liking, and subscribing

CHN’s decision to “follow”, “like” or “subscribe” to another social media account does not imply an endorsement of that account, channel, page, or site, and neither does sharing (i.e., re-tweeting, liking, reposting, or linking to) content from another user.

Content and comments

Although CHN is not responsible for the content of visitor comments on our websites and/or social media channels, we reserve the right to remove any comments or contributions, and to block users.

Comments must be respectful of the opinions and viewpoints of others.

CHN reserves the right to report users and/or their comments and contributions to third-party social media service providers to prevent or remove the posting of content that is contrary to these Terms and Conditions and block said users from further communications.
