CHN has spots available for a new opportunity! Introducing “Behind the Lens,” the first of many Kids Up Front initiatives to provide youth with access to enriching experiences again.
What: Behind the Lens Photography Program
When: November 6 to April 30 (final 13 weeks is a contest)
Where: Virtual event hosted through private Facebook group
Age suitability: All ages (18 and under)
Description
Kids Up Front has launched a new program, Behind the Lens, an educational photography program for kids and youth 18 and under. The program will be administered by Kids Up Front Vancouver in partnership with caring professional photographers. Photography classes, fun challenges, and learning resources will be offered throughout the program, and top photos will be used in our annual fundraiser calendar.
How Does It Work?
Participants will be given an invite code to provide access to a private Facebook group for the program. Weekly scheduled prompts will be used to share instructions to enhance photography skills, encourage positive dialogue, and accept submissions from participants. We will also share online resources and tutorials to assist in the learning process. It is our intention that priority access will be given to the youth through our partner agencies for the online photography classes and other additional resources.
